So William is ready to go in with a girl. Seeing as how I can't seem to find a suitable match, I'm thinking of possible trying him with Lulu and Daisy, but they are a difficult pair.

When I tried L&D with a younger sow, all hell broke loose, and Lulu has proved to be quite a feisty top pig, bringing blood to 2 other girlies (not Daisy). Daisy is a big coward and squeeks if anyone so much as looks at her.

The girls are probably coming up to 3 (not too sure they were preloved pigs) and William isn't a year old yet, so I'm weighing up pros and cons any ideas/ advice good or bad will be gratefully received.

Lindsay has just bonded Squeak to a pair of older girls, I think there was a fair bit of getting to know each other but in cages where they could see....you'll have to ask Lindsay.

Oh it can be done then, that's encouraging :)), They are opposite each other now, but they show very little interest in each other. I might try them in the hallway on Boxing Day.

I would just try them and see following all the usual bonding advice of baths all round, neutral territory and then into a scrubbed cage. Please do not put them togther for short persiods of time and then seperate them as this is very disturbing for them. Only seperate after introductions if blood is drawn, it is natural for there to be squabbles and the occasional scuffle.

I would see first how they are next to each other before going through intros on neutral territory etc. Not all dominant older sows will accept a boar. Undersows or laid back couples do, whatever the age.

Lulu is a funny one, she is the sweetest natured little girl, until there's a new piggy in the vicinity, they're next to each other now, though still totally disinterested in each other. Well obviously William's interested, the girls have ignored him all along. They ignore all piggies though so he shouldn't feel too badly done to.

Think I'll keep waiting for a younger girl rather than upset the dynamics in the pair.

Give me bonding boys any day, this is giving me such a headache. Girl piggies are a total enigma to me, I can't believe how naughty they can be, at least with boys it's all out in the open girls are sneaky.:(|)
