I posted a couple of threads a while ago about having a problem with spiders constantly invading my room!
First, I took everything out of my room and dusted EVERYTHING.
Then, I went around my room and searched for holes and cracks.
I became impatient a couple of days ago and decided that there was nothing more that I could do...
until today!!
I rarely open the shutters behind my bed, and when I did, I realized that the sealant along my window pane had worn away! There were small cracks in the wood!
I whipped out the vacuum (brush attachment ready for battle), and I vacuumed everything!
I am going to get my window replaced eventually, but for now, I lined the space between the wood and the window with duct tape. It is all sealed and hopefully, my spider problem is solved!
The cracks were quite small but big enough for our super tiny unwanted guests to sneak through!

I’ve heard that apparently spiders don’t like conkers so you could also put some of the along your windowsill and that could also help. (Though i am unsure if conkers are safe to be near guinea pigs)

If you do use conkers you have to put a hole in the top just through the skin and into the actual conker inside. Its the tiny bit of vapour that they can smell that puts them off. You need to make sure that your piggies are safe to be around the conkers though.
