I don’t know if I misinterpreted your post. You say he wanted another one. Is skinny being paired up with a lone piggy? If not, as above, piggies are herd animals and not made to live alone. So please make sure (if skinny is a ‘loner’) that you pair him/her with a same sex piggy for company. No amount of human love or attention can replace company of their own kind.

I hope you were misinformed and are now up to speed so will be getting him/her a friend soon (if (s)he is alone). Best way would be to take skinny to a rescue and let them choose their own friend.

If you brought home another piggy to live with existing piggies and did your research on what skinny pigs need and have a plan B if they wont live with your existing piggies and had been planning a new piggy addition for a while then great.
But this sort of "pet as surprise gift" thing being shared publicly on social media is exactly the reason why there are so many unwanted and badly cared for pets in need of rescue and being dumped in the free ads for snakefood after the holidays :(
Skinny pigs are awkward and hyperactive and very expensive to keep warm. The extortionate price they sell for is nothing compared to what it costs to keep one warm and happy... and also the vet bills when the inbred weird little get injured so easily with no protective fur then respond differently to medication and surgery than normal guinea pigs and the vets have never seen one before... not a good pet to encourage others to get on a whim... actually (please cover those enormous bat ears Tallulah) not a very good pet at all sometimes!
