Noticed a few days ago some hair loss on Brenda's legs, I didn't think much of it as one of the group is a barber. Looking at her today though I big lump has cropped up under her nipple :(

She's absolutely done in herself no weight loss still eating loads etc but she definatly had hair loss aswell. I'm hoping it's cysts and not a tumour.

Needless to say she's booked on this afternoon!

Good that you have booked her in asap. Fingers firmly crossed for her!

I've weighed her just now and her weight has dropped a little bit only like 5grams though.

The vets were fully booked but they've squished her in before they close. There good like that!

Fingers crossed it's something easily sorted, good luck at the vets! Do you have a good guinea pig vet?

Keep us posted, my Itsy has had a mammary tumour removed about 2 months ago and likely to have to remove a second one.

Yeah I've not long switched vets, the owner is very very good. She did an ultra sound and X-rays on pix a while ago without ga which is obviously a good thing.

My Angel has one, because of her age (nearly 6) they're not going to operate. They've prescribed metacam which she's on every other day to take the edge off any pain and I've been told to keep an eye on her for when the inevitable helping to the bridge comes around. :(

She's still very active and enjoying life, so hopefully we'll get a good few months more with her.

The vet thinks it's a mammary tumour but isn't comfortable operating because of how big it is (4cm both ways) and it's deeply attached itself. Trying her with meds for now to see if it will shrink down and then maybe operate. :(

She also has cataracts forming

Gorgeous girl!

4cmx4cm is big! Is the lump just under the skin or deep inside? Lola 1st lumps was big but didn't top that. It was provably 4cm in length but only about 2cm. The one she still has to remove is smaller.

It's both you can see it just under the skin but it goes pretty deep and you can feel it's attached to muscle!
