Hi, i was just wondering because i have only ever seen one rex in my life!
Not really, there are rarer coat breeds such as ridgebacks. I know of a lot of rex guinea pigs; one of my boars is a rex cross so a lot of pigs are probably carriers (meaning they have the genetics to be that breed, but it's "hidden" - it doesn't show on the pig as being the breed).
For example, Koda is my rex cross, but he looks more like a sheltie pig than a rex. His brothers from the same litter show their rex genes from their parents to varying degrees; one baby had typical rex whiskers.
I only have one rex boy but would love morex),there personalitys are gorgeous, many rescues have them so they certainly aren't rare

I have 5 boars, greg lives with Toffee his wife.
Dylan and Peanut are brothers age 6 months who live happily together and my new rex boys are 3 month old Oscar and Harvey.
