Ice pods

How long do they keep the chill? I'm thinking about getting four so that they can always have two in the cage. Do they freeze as fast as they thaw, if you understand what I mean? Should I get 6 if I always want them to have 2?

We have an icepod on chill just now as the heat yesterday was awful. They don't take that long to freeze from what I can remember but they seem to last for ages even once they start to thaw they still stay cool.

We bought Mojules one last year and then got another one in Sophie's brilliant hamper so for two guinea pigs I think 2 is enough but you might want to get 4 :) so that you always have at least one cool and ready to go

The cold lasts for quite a while - mine has been in buns cage for about 3 hours so far and is still frozen. Yesterday she had it for about 5 hours before it seemed ineffective.
 
Thanks! So on a really hot day I might want to go home at lunch to change it...

I have three pigs that don't like to share so I'm thinking they should always have two, that way they can rotate a bit.

I will check the coolness of mine again later for you to see how long it lasts. I would think two would be better as my bun likes to lie right on it and if your piggies did this one might end up getting pushed out but two would mean room for them all!
 
I put mine in the fast freeze section and they can be cool within the hour but i always leave it for about two.

I have very little room left in my fast freeze section - its filled with icepods, water bottles etc for the buns, guines and even my tropical fish! Got no room for food :x
