If Gunieas R Content ?

Hi

Plz can someone tell me how you know if your guniea pig is content when you are holding them?

I bring them out one by one sometimes and tuck them into my dressing gown and Yoshi will just settle and look like he is going to sleep. Sometimes Bowser will just sit also.

What noises should they make if there happy and content?

Some pigs purr when they're happy and content, sometimes they just "talk" and sometimes they might not make any noises, doesn't mean they're not happy. You'll know if they don't like it or want to be held because they'll try to bite at your clothes and try to wriggle, like they want back to their cage..

By talk, I mean make quiet eeking noises... One of mines purrs, the other sometimes eeks and sometimes just sits silently :p

Thanks for that beans&toast i have noticed sometimes bowser will do this when he has been out for sometime. Do like to sit up at your neck ?

Yeah they love being all cosy next to my neck under my chin mines don't like being out for more than 10 minutes or so at a time though, they start figiting and nibbling my clothes when they want to go back home

Ah right well thanks for that i appreciate the tips and will bear in mind now with bowser but yoshi would just lie there all day i think. Today i let them out on the carpet together and they where funny. bowser was running along and making wee tweet noises.

Yeah they r funny and i was presumming that he was walking/runnin about so i thought he had to be happy. they r so funny wee creatures

Mine make that little whistling sound when they are relaxed and happy, though some of my pigs are chattier than others. Sundae is noisy with it, but Hadley is a lot quieter, and Linney was actually pretty silent during lap time, she would usually just go to sleep!
