hi guys ,
so i’m currently researching into guinea pig emergency kits - and i’m planing on ordering the oxbow critical care and a electrolyte powder. but i have a question - if a guinea pig isn’t eating and is severely dehydrated (i know you have to take them to the vet but when you first release) can you feed the electrolyte powder and then the oxbow critical care?(my guinea pig is fine btw i’m just getting ready just in case)

I’ve no idea. There is a first aid kit guide here.

I wouldn't buy it if I'm honest. These things do go out of date and are more likely to be sat on your shelf unused. I find mashing up pellets best for syringe feeding should they need top up feeds and then will buy recovery food direct from the vet or online if the vet recommends it

:agr:
I don’t keep critical care but I do keep syringes. Should it ever be needed I’d go with mushed up pellets first as they are on hand and familiar in taste to piggies. Critical care can be purchased if and when needed.
