o.k this is going to be really hard to explain
when my guineas eat dry food they put their front feet on the bowl pick up a pellet and eat it wilst still standing on the bowl.
this evening bella has been eating from the bowl with her front feet on the rim but her head keeps going funny like its too heavy for her neck on her legs arn't taking her weight, then when she has some food she lays down to eat it. it does look very odd and she has NEVER done it before and i'm really worried. first thing in the morning i *** be ringing the vets. she is still eating for england and trotting about, her feet don't seem to be causing her any pain. i got them a hammock last week and they love it, but i am worried that it has damaged her back so i have taken it away. i would appreciate any comments or advice. thanks sue

Vets visit sounds best...

As part of their examination, Please DO get them to check PROPERLY for ear mites as that can cause piggies to have problems with their head/neck..

....and my first vets didnt make the call properly even though they checked the ears.....so i went to a second and lo and behold - ear mites, a couple of injections - and everything was fine.
