So, I got these through the post today. How do I use it? How often do I change it? Tips please :-) x

I just put mine down in the cage with a fleece over the top. It depends a bit on how many pigs you have and what their habits are as to how often you need to change them. I tend to do a complete change every 2-3 days but some people leave them down all week, with perhaps a fleece change mid week. Mine do tend to pee one end, and as I have a big cage, I can sometimes just change the pad that end.

I have a couple of foster girls in at the moment who almost exclusively pee in their litter trays (good girls) so I think I will change theirs less.

So, I guess my answer is that it's a bit trial and error to see what works for you and your pigs.

:)

Thanks for your reply Flips. My pad is larger than the actual cage, hopefully I can get it sorted out somehow, fold it over or something. It seems so thin I can hardly believe it'd be ok for a week. Yes trial and error is the way to go :))

If you find it is too awkward you can cut them and sew the edge with some bias binding. I had to do that to make some smaller strips as my c & c needs 2 full pads and 2 smaller pieces to cover the base.

Good luck. x
