One of my boys is really wet underneath all the time at the moment. He's a rescue piggie so I know he is about 4.
He has always been really good at peeing in the corner of his cage - it is always his brother who pees on anything and anyone!

Has anyone else come across this? He is otherwise happy and healthy.

It could suggest a urine infection. Is he squeaking when weeing at all? Might be worth having him on your lap on a white towel until he pees just so you can check if there is any blood.
It may also be that he is slowing down as he gets older and is less bothered to move when he pees.

I don't have experience of this so these are just what springs to mind. Hopefully someone with more experience will be along later. :)

Flips suggestion might be right, possibly see him to a vet? :) Perhaps he's like my Artie who loves sitting in his or his cage mates pee, and ends up with a sticky wet belly (nuaghty boy!)Hopefully someone will come along with abit more experience soon and help you :)

Some older piggies do tend not to move away and sit in their pee; in that case it might be useful to bolster their most likely spots with a couple of layers of fleece that is not washed with any softener and wicks away any fluid from the surface.

However, it is important that you have your boy checked out for possible urinary tract infection (URI) by a vet.

How are his poos? Firm/shaped/soft. Does he look like he is in pain *fluffed up lethargic or loss of activity?)

My Beechie was incontinent owing to gut stasis/poo impaction and subsequently longer term irritable bowel problems...zantac (4mg/kg for 7 days) now sorts any episodes out and he is now right as rain ........

Probs in the bowel can create bladder poroblems and vice versa especially in male piggies.....

However i"wet underneath" DOES sounds to me like he has a urine infection first and foremost; which will need antibioitics to clear it up (septrin).plus cranberry juice etc etc..however be prepared for the rest of the bowel symptoms to continue for some time after you stop the septrin....

Happy to chat if you are at all concerned.... - Pm me if you want my phone number

All sound advice, my only addition is to check and clean his willy if it needs it - sometimes boys can get so much gunk around their willy that it squishes it so that the urine can only dribble out - leading to a wet pig. If it is gunky soak some cotton wool in warm water to help soften it and gently remove it all - not a pleasant job - a little dab of canestan HC will help relieve any inflammation and possible fungal infection - a favourite place for it to start.

This link on impaction has clear pics on how to clean a willy - towards the bottom of the page.
