Hi all,

I wanted to know if anyone's piggies who have been on baytril noticed that they started to drink alot more?

I have read that baytril makes them dehydrated is this true?

Thank you for your help as always 😊

Baytril will not make them dehydrated, however it can have an effect on their natural gut flora which may cause them to want to drink more.
Make sure you are also giving a probiotic an hour before or after the baytril to help with the gut flora.

Guinea pigs only dehydrate if they haven't got access to enough water. As long as your piggy can drink all she wants to at all times there is no risk.

Please give probiotic/poo soup support to help the gut microbiome keep working as well as possible.
