Well it has only taken a month for my mum to say something.
My C & C cage is on my dining room table, its never used as a dining room. but we have to walk through it from the living room to the kitchen.
Ive been thinking the last few days that i am going to put the piggies in an out door hutch they are now big and the weather isnt too bad.
My hutch is small but i am going to attatch it to a run.
and i will bring them in doors in the winter.
I was chatting to my mum this morning on the phone and apparently the reason my children have got colds at the moment is because of the guinea pigs, its not healthy for them or us for them to be in the house.
Any way I wouldnt fall out with her over this, she's had her say i've had mine and that will be the end of it we're not people who carry things on. ( didnt tell har i was thinking of putting them out anyway)
My mum is lovely and i know the reason she has said something is because she loves us all its nothing against the piggies cos she too loves piggies. But some people have some funny ideas.
Any way i just needed to whinge to get it off my chest. lol

My folks are the same Claire. I only have Tika in at the moment (shes my bunny) while she gets over the snuffles. She doesn't smell at all.

Mine have given up moaning about the animals! But I do prefer for them to have their own space so they are in our shed.

In the winter I bring them in it's like Cavy Towers I stack the cage up. My bunnies move into the shed as they can cope better then the pigs and I make sure they are cosy.

:)

oh gosh my mum would've been opposite (and was).......she loved the animals inside, one of my cats slept in my room when i was little under the covers rolleyes at my feet that was Snuggles x) and then when i got Roxanne at 21 she loved to sleep on my jumpers :(|) in my bedroom cupboard, mum was fine about it........and our dog Gyppy also slept inside in the laundry but he had run of the house but didn't care for the bedrooms, just the kitchen :(|) wonder why......drool:(|)

But i know what your mum is saying......as long as you both can compromise and it's for everyones health etc........go for it :)

Well it's the right time at the mo for outside living. I was supposed to do that but so far haven't been able to bring myself to do it.

Glad you and your mum wont fall out over it.

:))Wasn't there a saying "Mum knows best?" :))

As long as you two can talk about it and not feel grouchy afterwards that's a good start. The weather should be a bit warmer now in your country so it's possible to have the animals outside a bit more.
In winter, or when it's freezing, then bring them back inside... maybe in not such a prominent position like the dining room table?!
At the end of the day it's you that is keeping the animals and not her...LOL:))
