Poor Mr. Bailee Boy had a bad break on his top right incisor about 4 months ago and the exotic vet thought it would grow back in normally but no it hasn't. About 4 months ago my daughter who was here for a college break visit gave Mr. Bailee a banana chip and instead of breaking it into small pieces for him he was given the whole chip. Well Mr. Bailee took the chip and broke it himself against the side of his cage which in turn he broke his tooth and it shoved in somewhat so after all these months it has only grown in about 1/4 of a centimeter and smelly and grayish in color. Well today he sneezed out a yellowish type discharge from that side of his nostril where the tooth is infected so I immediately phoned his vet and she will be mailing me Ciprofloxacin along with some Meloxicam but it wont be in my mailbox till Monday or Tuesday so in the meantime she advised me to put him in my bathroom and put the shower on HOT so to steam up the bathroom in order to loosen up the infection that has gone into his sinus cavity. My next plan is after Christmas getting him a complete root canal with incisor extraction equaling $300. I feel bad for him to have to endure a sinus infection plus a complete tooth removal. He is indeed a little soldier with the brightest and warmest personality. I love him.

Oh noes! Mr Bailee Boy! Your poor toothy! Maple broke a tooth a year or so ago she ran into a pole... All I heard was a massive 'clunk'. Her teeth have grown back not perfect but not impeding her abilities... And the OH told me Lucky did the exact same thing!

All my girls send their kisses and healing vibes you gorgeous little man!

My Fred had a very small lump initially until it was aspirated - after the aspiration the abscess grew to a huge size. The abscess had to be lanced and drained but unfortunately it returned within two weeks. My vet was fairly confident the abscess was coming from the incisor as on the dental Xray showed compacted food underneath. When he had him under he found the tooth was lose so decided to Extract it. Fred abscess took Months to clear, he was on 6 weeks of antibiotics when he became intolerant to the antibiotic, in the end we followed Furryfriends advice and my vet agreed to give Zithromax. The smell certainly can indicate infection, I know after my Fred's tooth removal he coped very well once the Abs where finished.

I hope you get to the bottom of your boys problems soon! :) x

Sorry to rad this, lots of love and Healing Vibes to your handsome boy x
