Adult Guinea Pig
Can carpet fluff pass through their systems ok, or do they ball up in the stomach? I'm constantly having to stop Humbug from doing it. It worries me.

One of mine hoovers the rugs and carpets regularly and doesn't seem any the worse for it but I do try to stop him!
It shouldn't provide any problems. Piggies are not prone to hair balls.

I'm glad mine isn't the only one that licks the carpet, was starting to wonder if it was normal or not

Megan used to do it, the only way you could stop them I reckon is to make a carpet out or courgette... yet to meet a pig that touches the stuff. Mind you I try to avoid it too!
Carpet is apparently very tasty, along with wallpaper, the fringes of rugs, and tassels of cushions.......I definitely don't encourage this though!

None of mine have been able to resist pulling the threads of towels; 'towel fluff' seems to get everywhere. Thankfully, it's never caused them any harm.
My pigs scour the living room carpet and the kitchen floor for crumbs. I've also caught them licking the floor after it has been cleaned :s
