Injury on back

Hi,

I really cannot seem to catch a break at the moment. You may remember Betty who was recently at the vet for a lump under her chin. Good news, nothing scary just a benign cyst that requires no treatment at the moment.

I have now just discovered this injury on her back and no idea how she’s got it. She hasn’t got the V mark for mange mites but I’m really not sure. We’re meant to be going away tomorrow so I really don’t know what I can do before we go

I’m sorry that Betty has a sore on her back. Sadly these things happen at the worst possible time

If I were you, I’d have her seen before you go away so a diagnosis can be made and treatment started asap.

In the vets waiting room as well speak! I just hope it’s not mites as I won’t be able to send her boarding then! X

Phew- nothing contagious/mites/fungal . Maybe she has caught it while grooming or even been bitten by a spider or something. No treatment needed just got to bathe it in salt water a couple of times a day to keep clean. She does now have a fetching shaved bit though
