i'm hoping rocky doesn't hate us for getting a new guineapig so soon, but rolo seemed extremely tearful, and he kept turning his back on us and walking away, so we felt it for the best.

we introduced rolo to caramac, a 12 week old boar earlier this week, and he immediately cheered up!

whilst in the bath tub, before the shower was turned on he attempted to groom his new friend; and since then he's been a protective parent too him keeping a watchful eye on nick and i whenever we hold him. he even sleeps with his head on caramacs back!

caramac on the other hand follows rolo around, and even eats when he eats.

caramac is currently 490g (not much less than rocky when he passed away rip), and we reckon he will grow to quite a size as he is a rather sturdy piggie, with a big appetite.

he has already got his chunky body stuck in a snack shack much to mine and nicks horror (we prompt removed the snack shacka nd broke it into pieces to avoid a further incident).

anyway that's enough rambling, so please let me introduce caramac (aka as mr wrigglesworth a she is a terrible wriggler!)

we then let them play out of the cage together for a few hours during this time they seemed to get on well

in fact fatherhood seems to be suiting rolo - he has suddenly become extremely laid back, coming over for belly/side rubs!

after a number of hours together we were satisfied they were getting along some put them into a nice clean cage, and watched them for a further few hours.they have now eben together for two nights and so far the novelty of fatherhood doesn't seem to of worn off for rolo :))

Or Becks you know how much i love those two together. Love the pic of Caramac with Nick.

Please please book a holiday asap i need to have them over including Samson and Sadiex)

I'm sure little Rocks is looking over those two and making sure they stay best of friends.

Hugs to the boys and of course S & S x>>

Love Auntie Linds x x x)

I'm so glad the boys have taken to each other. Caramac is gorgeous and is the image of my Mimsi. Rocky will be sending down approving wheeks from Rainbow Bridge. You have done the right thing and Caramac is such a lucky boy to have found his loving forever home with you.

I am always amazed by the utter change in a bereft piggy when they find a new friend!

Piggies mourn for their friends (and don't forget them!), yet they crave company more than us. Caramac won't replace Rocky, but right now, he provides much needed comfort - and Rocky, being a piggy himself, does understand that!

I am so glad that Rolo is so loving with his new friend. YOu must be sooo happy! :)):)):))

Caramac is a gorgeous colour. I hope he and rolo are very happy together.

I forgot to say how much I love the pics and what a lovely matching pair they make!

Lovely pics, I am happy for you and Rolo that Caramac has come into your lives. I adopted pigs very soon (two and three days) after the deaths of each of my pigs; I feel there is no better tribute to the passed pigs than the adoption of a new pig. It's their legacy, and it's the nicest thing you can do for the remaining pig. Well done you for putting Rolo first.

Loving Caramac's name, it really suits him!

thanks everyone.

we had weigh ins this morning, and i think rolo is content with his new friend...

caramac has gone upto 515g from 490g, and rolo has also put on about 25g (not that he needed too lol, he's already over 1.2k!

rolo is more energentic these days when out of teh cage, he keeps pop corning uncontrollably. we don;t think caramac has quite worked out what a popcorn is yet as he looks at his dad as if to say "whats all that about?":red
