So I feel a bit guilty coming on here and sharing the news that I have two new sow guinea pigs purchased in the local area (the only place I could get to in lockdown). It's a decision that I've been thinking about for many many months and I couldn't quite resist as I've been telling myself no for a while. I know they're not from a rescue but these animals really need rescuing and have probably been saved from a clumsy child owner. Atleast rescues have standards; these little babies could be passed to anyone unfortunately.

Anyway, I've never met a pair of guinea pigs so well bonded. Non of my herd ever cuddle. They cuddle together all the time and are so confident. They're out in the open all the time and are eating and drinking really well. They're incredibly tiny and are eating and drinking like they've never eaten or drank before. I think they're eating and drinking alot more than my adult guinea pigs. I have been giving them a bit of extra food as I think they're quite skinny and tiny.

They're in the hallway at the moment but are currently crying/squeaking for my other guinea pigs as they can hear and probably smell them. I haven't decided whether to keep them as a pair or bond them with the rest of the herd. There's pro's and cons to each scenario. The fact that they're so small makes me think they would benefit from being with the sows. Non of my guinea pigs have ever been this small and baby like. Not sure what to do. Thank you everyone for your help and advice as always 🙂💞

Hey don’t feel guilty, you are giving two beautiful girls a loving home and all piggies deserve that. They are absolutely beautiful, you enjoy them, it’s a special time ❤️

Aww they are beautiful. They remind me of baby ruffles as she was tiny too. ❤️

Thank you. I'm so inlove. I love all my herd equally but I would say most of my guinea pigs are quite shy apart from one confident guinea pig, Bear. These guys are probably more confident already than my entire herd which is really nice to see. 😊

Absolutely beautiful! 😍
Don’t feel guilty, my two babies (Castiel and Jack) I rehomed from work, not a rescue. Offering a loving home to those who need it is what’s important. What a wonderful thing you have done for these gorgeous girls. Enjoy your lovely new home ladies! 💕

Thank you; means a lot. 💞 I'm so inlove 😍

Beautiful girls! Be careful about giving them extra. Feel their heft and see what it is. It’s difficult to compare because piggies come in all shapes and sizes.

They just look like skin and bone to me. I will weigh them tomorrow but I wouldn't say they weigh more than 200g by feel! and will do I'm not giving them pellets or anything like that just extra coriander and lettuce and thank you :)

Every piggy deserves a loving home, no matter where they come from.
It’s not their fault.

Those are such beautiful girls and very lucky to be with you.
More pictures please

I haven't figured out who's who yet. Not sure which pig to call Cinder or which pig to call Ember. Which one suits do you guys think? 😂

I was going to ask you which was which!

Mostly when I name my animals they then get different nicknames and never get called their original names much!
Baby ruffles morphed to just baby, then bubba, and now we mostly call her bubbles! Haha.
Currently Jasper aka jazzy is called Judge! Haha.

Omg just awwww. So tiny so cute.
Thank you. They're so tiny and lively! I can't believe it but I just hand fed one of the babies twice! It took all my other guinea pigs months and months to not be as scared. Some of them are still reluctant to take food! How's your bonding sesh going? Xx
