Adopted 2 male guinea pigs 3 days ago and they have settled in lovely, but I'm now considering getting another one of their brothers. Would they be ok together after 3 days or would they need to reintroduced slowly . Not sure what to do as I really don't want to upset the 2 that I already have.

Please don’t add any more piggies in with them - it will lead to fall outs. You can only keep two boars together in one cage.
If you try to add a third piggy in, it will cause them to all fight and at worst you could end up with all three of them having to live in separate cages (at best you will still end up with one living alone).
It doesn’t matter that they were previously together, even if you had got three at the same time, they would not make it long before falling out and needing to be separated as boars dont tend to function long with more than two.

If you were to find you want more piggies, then you will need to have a totally separate boar pair in a second cage.

It’s only sows who can live in groups.

Ensure your boar pair have plenty of space - they need a 180x60cm cage or a 5x2 c&c cage - as boars are more territorial and can struggle if there isn’t enough room in their cage.
Also ensure all hides have two doors in them so no piggy can get cornered by the other and ensure you have two if every item in the cage.

The guides below will help you with information on keeping boars.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I had two boars once and tried to add more. I ended up with all four of them living separately 😞

Keep your pair as they are. If you really want more piggies get another completely separate pair. Post some pictures if you’d like to share.

Thank you that is what I was worried about. They do have a 2x5 C&C cage and I will be expanding it after the New Year.

Thank you for confirming

The cage is a good size.
If you do expand then ensure you spread soiled bedding into any new expansion. Any change in cage size constitutes a new territory and will cause them to reestablish their relationship. Using soiled bedding helps them realise it is still their space.
It’s best to keep any environment and territory changes to a minimum when you have boars, particularly if they are teenagers.

Welcome to the forum
Have fun with your boars, they are generally daft, funny and very entertaining 😊
