Introducing new piggies to each other...

I've got our 2 new additions this weekend. Both boars.

I currently have 2 boars at home and was wondering what is the best way to introduce all 4 to each other? Obviously 2 sets live in seperate cages but i want them to be able to play out all together.

Whats the best way of gradually introducing them?

The two older ones are around 7 months and the 2 new ones are 7 weeks old. They all squeak at each now so i'm hoping they can all be friends in the long run.

Unfortunatly, it is very unlikely they will ever be able to go together. Every time they meet, they will have to resestablish dominance (so say you got them out one day, they would decide who is boss, then the next day they would have to decide all over again) THis would be very stressfull for them, and for you as you would have to be on constant watch for fights.

I'm glad your new pair seem happy, and would love to see pictures, but definatly recomend you leave them as twoo seperate pairs.

I am sorry to say that if I were you, I'd keep them separate. Your older pair is right in the middle of the stroppy months and any dominance discussions due to you adding the youngsters can easily upset this and spark fights between them. Don't break what is not broken!
