introducing sadie....

having been with us a year now we felt samson was mature enough to handle a long term relationship, she (encouraged by lindsay) we agreed he could start courting this 9 month old lady named sadie....

exscuse the pics but she is so dark (shje's a dark steel conti giant)

at 5.5k she already weighs the same as our 18 month old giant samson, she is expected to grow to about 8k.

she's booked into be neutered at the start of sep, so i will be relying on everyone to be thinking of her then and wishing her a speedy recovery, then she will be bonded with samson.

they have met under supervision already, and enjoy playing together through bars. once she's had her op we will bond them properly as we don't want to split them up whilst sadies in the recuperation period.

it sure is....they stretch out like a pair of dogs, and are very laid back like them too! when lindsay looked after samson recently she had withdrawel symptoms after he came back to us lol, and he befriended her cat holly, hence why we decided to give bonding him another whirl (he did live with our other female sam at one point but she's a bully).

it's funny actually as our other two buns are the same weight as one of these two when added together. the smallest, domino, is 2.2 k and when he comes out he looks around first to ensure there are no giant rabbits on the loose!

even the neighbours cat is wary of the two larger buns, yet she will chase sam, our 3.3k english/large cross into the shed.

I still look at Samsons pics Becs of him at your house and still think he is mine (had him at my house for 3 weeks for those of you that dont know). Cannot believe how much i love him and still miss him terrible.x)

Cannot wait to see them both together, it definately is like having another cat in the house having a giant bun.

me too, its the one bit of animal ownership i hate...but i know the risks if she isnt done far outway the risk of getting her done.

whenever we get a rabbit done i spend the whole day panicking until teh vet calls to say they are fine and can be picked up...sadie is our fourth bunster so youw ould think by now i would be use to it!

thanks sam, i actually got two of my buns - samson and domino via rabbits united, i just don't get on there much nowerdays, but will try and make an effort next week :-)

I hated it when my babies (cats) went in to be spayed but its best for them.

i know lol, i can honestly say i think lindsay and holly too were boths mitten by the time we returned from our honeymoon - still i am sure that she wont of seen the last of samson - he;s already trying to get me to book another holiday so that he can have his own vacation!
