Thank you to walsall RSPCA and Vicky for letting me have the absolutely beautiful long john silver, aka now called Silver (but will always be my pirate man)

checking out his new pen, set up inside the girls huge pen so he can get used to their smells, squabbles and not be on his own, but not yet with them, and the anti norty boy barrier around to make sure he cant get up to no good :))

He is settling down and getting used to all the normal noises and his new temporary home, he was a bit scared of his veg bowl but it might have been due to the fact that it was pink and he might not like the colour pink :))

The girls are curious about him but a little unsettled, mostly as the pen has been changed a bit but once they settle down and silver settles down I expect them to be chatting each other up soon enough over the "chastity belt panels" (as long as they dont decide they dont like each other, but think the girls are too flirty to be like that - I hope)

OOOh I cant wait to get the next episode when Silver meets his future wifes.

He is quite stunning, surely they will fall in love too x)

So looking forward to the next episode of bonding with the girls - when are his 6 weeks up?
 
fudge had a peep over the top of the barrier but its all a bit of a day for sliver so I am just leaving them be tonight (keeping an eye through the door) and hopefully all piggies will want to say hello to each other a bit more. Poor silver is sitting a bit overwhelmed by the new surroundings but he is being very brave and curious too so I am positive he will soon get the hang of our home (and his fishwives from weston next door :)) ) and all the sounds that come with it.

He will have some grass time as will the girls, in separate runs, need all the mini mowers as possible to tame my over grown lawn :o

He is just lovely - and I'm reminded of my first ever guinea pig 50+ years ago - he was Long John Silver too.

he is still a little unsure when we are moving around, to be expected as they were all like that when I first brought the girls inside. He was stretched out last night asleep by the front of the pen so he relaxed enough last night, he just looks so lonely :( but its short term for him so not going to feel sorry for him, and he does have the fishwives from weston next door, he just has to feel confident enough to go and say hello (although knowing how bossy they can be, I am not surprised he hasnt had THAT much courage yet :)) )

Currently he is tucking in to a handfull of my grass, as are the girls next door, he ate all his veg last night, even if he removed each bit from the pink bowl first and munched away from the pink bowl - will dig out the blue one for him :)) and he found the water bottle and burgess nuggets in his pen.

He will gain confidence, it's early days and a change for him at the moment, he'll soon be looking at his neighbours :))

Poor lad with a pink bowl, you'll give him gender issues! Blue is much more boarly :))
 
He is so handsome! Obviously too much boar to be tolerating a pink bowl!rolleyes Bet you can't wait to see them all together....sounds like he'll have his paws full with the flirty fishwives:(|). Looking forward to the updates! x
 
I gave him manly colours to sleep in :))

It was the first small bowl to hand, but will get the blue and green out for him. I dont generally get pink as a colour, if the girls were all I had then I would, but I have considered the man of the house and gone for other colours - honest :))

It was quite a day for him yesterday and yes I know he will settle down, there is a lot to take in at our home, and especially learning the big black dog is not to be trusted :)) He will soon be just like the girls, and probably more reactive to the OH like they are rolleyes and all he does is feed them once a day when I am at work, its me that does all the hard work, but nooo, they like him more :{:))
