It's only taken me a week, but here is the introduction of my new piggies that came aaaaaall the way from All About The Animals rescue in Wales. Many of you will already know these piggies, but I thought they deserved a 'now we live at DoeyL's house' intro, lol

So, first we have DibDab, or Mr Dibs, the boar of the group, and what a boar! Do not let his prettiness deceive you (though my vet said he is one of the prettiest guineas she has ever seen, hehe) - Dibs really is one of the best herd boars ever, sorting out all the girly scraps and generally marching about being a bloke

Next up is Parma Violet, or Leti as she is known. Leti is head sow, into everything, a little skittish but worked out when dinner was from day one and usually first in the queue. She may be top sow but she has a heart of gold and half the time grabs some veg, takes it over to Nansi, then comes back for her own bit. She is yet to get the hand of photo time tho...

Next we have Our Snickers, or Snicks, who I am sure a lot of you will remember as the reason I had to go to Wales in the first place! For those that don't know, Snicks was my pig who decided she hated everyone and wouldn't bond. We tried her with sows, neutered boars, a herd...nothing. So off she went to Claire's to find A friend...and came back with three...oh well! It is absolutely lovely to see her in a group now, she loves Dibs and likes to snuggle up to him, Leti is her partner in crime, and she can be a bit naughty to Nansi but has been caught snuggling with her too. She remains slightly wary but is so much calmer and happier than she ever was before

As you can see, my trip to Wales has only made me CUTER!

And last but not least is Nansi, formerly Nancy, but I wanted it to be a bit Welsh! Of all the gang Nansi probably has the worst past, but she doesn't let it affect her and is simply a gorgeous, cuddly, loving pig. Very quiet, exactly as Claire said, but coming out of her shell, and when on her own a proper little trouble maker as the pics below show.

And here is their house...giant 6.5ft x 2.ft hutch, it's loverly, easy to put together and so far nice and weatherproof. I will be getting a hutch cover shortly and we start the rest of the insulation process in a few weeks.

i just let out a very loud "awww" when I saw Nansi x)x) She is one of the prettiest pigs I have seen.....If you ever need to re-home her I will gladly take her drooldrool Just stunning!

All your piggies are lovely, but please can I come and pignap Nansi!
 
Oh how lovely you have so many beautiful piggies and all rescue too. I am so happy to hear Snickers has managed to make friends. I always think there is hope for all guinea pigs not to be alone. It was so worth your trip to Wales. :)

The rescue pigs here now outnumber the 'shop bought' pigs, which is as it should be :) I am very proud that nearly all of mine are rescues now.

We wanted Snicks to have a friend so much, I spoke to a lot of people and Claire's set up seemed to be her best chance for her. The day Claire phoned me to tell me how she got on going into the herd, I was so worried she was going to say 'sorry she ripped them all apart here's the vet bills!'

Luckily she finally learnt she was a guinea pig and not a rabbit (previous home) and all went very well!

I'd have taken more than 1 if I could, but unfortunately I just don't have room! Snickers has chosen herself a good bunch of mates - Dib Dab is the most handsome boar ever! Snickers is also super cute x)
