Milo paid a visit to Coseley Guinea Pig Rescue on Saturday and was introduced to a number of potential new friends. After a couple of false starts he found his new companions. So here we are introducing Pol who is just twelve weeks old and is mainly black but has a beautiful white nose stripe that runs down her face and under her chin and Maud who is a few weeks older, has mainly agouti colouring and looks like her butt has been dipped in white paint. I had forgotten how fast young guinea pigs are, they seem to run around the cage at the speed of light. Poor Milo just can't keep up with them and looks quite puzzled when they disappear.
They seem to be settling in well, Maud is already brave enough to come out of hiding when i am in the piggy room but Pol is still very nervous. I'm sure Pol will get used to us in the coming weeks. Pol currently won't eat veggies (she didn't at the rescue either), we are hoping that watching the others enjoying them will encourage her to have a taste.
