Introduction! - New with Old

Well I introduced my New baby boar to my original 2 Year old boar today! They have been on their "neutral ground" for almost 2 hours now. There was a bit of rumbling from Squeak my original boar, but Digger the new baby seems very happy. Currently, Digger has decided to use Squeak as a mattress! and Squeak is happily falling asleep with his new friend lying ontop of him! I guess this is a good thing! I wish I could get a picture to show youas its soooo cute! Thanks to those who gave me some pointers. Going to transfer the two into the cage soon and see how things go there. Any furthur advice would still be appreciated. x :)):)):))
 
oh wow that sounds really positive, I hope they bond happily together :)
 
great news, if it is the original cage your older boar lived in scrub it out thoroughly to get rid of his smell, and move things around so it feels like a new cage for him as well.x
 
I agree with liquorice - it sounds very promising! Before transferring them, make sure that the cage is as neutral and "new" as you can make it both boars. That helps with keeping the dominance under wraps.
 
All scrubbed out, also bought new food bowls and bottles and toys and thins which was introduced to them on the neutral ground. So I'm all good to go! Thanks guys. x
