Is a charcoal water filter safe for piggies?

Hi
I live in a hard water area so as is reccoomend I filter water for my pigs. I currently have a Brita water filter but I've been looking for a more eco-friendly way than a jug with filters than need replacing once a month so my mum bought an active charcoal water filter. I just wanted to check if it's safe for piggies? And if not does anyone have suggestions of another way to filter water? Thanks in advance

As far as I know it's fine. I'm sure the Britta ones have charcoal in them.

Brita ones do have Charcoal in them. I take my used cartridges for recycling at my local Tesco.
