Is Bamboo Good For Guinea Pigs?

As the title says, is bamboo good for guinea pigs? I have lots in my garden but have no idea whether it is safe to feed to my piggies.

Bamboo is a grass plant; in fact, they are giant grass.

The grasses you have to beware of are the ones with lots of silica that can cut your fingers with their sharp edges and that can also damage piggies mouths; most of those are ornamental grasses.
