Hi
My little girl Destint who will be 5 in Oct. Over the past week I have noticed that she is drinking less. Her environment is temperature controlled since we are in a house with A/C controlled by a thermostat. She is eating more than normal but loosing losing weight. She is acting completely normal but I am concerned about her fluid level during this hot summer. Her water intake has about halved. Her output is normal for what she is consuming. Should I be concerned and/or take her to the vet? Attached are photos of her water bottle. She drank about 1 inch in the last 20 hours. She used to drink about 2/3 of the bottle.

How much weight has she lost over what period of time? If a piggie is losing weight generally it means they are not eating enough. I would take her to the vet for a health check just to be on safe side.

Hi!

Please monitor her weight (food intake) daily instead of weekly.

Have you fed more veg/fruit lately? If you notice any loss of weight or other signs of illness, please see a vet promptly.
