I get grumpy, when They've got one each and I have empty arms. lol. :D

Yeah, they want the fun cuddly bit, no setting up or cxeaning out.
Although, my daughter has been an angel today cleaning piggies, hammy and setting up new piggy cage. :smitten:
More my son who only likes the fun bits. :D

Yes i love my kids to bits but the pigs are me me time and i am finding especially of late that they are encroaching on my time, they are only allowed to do this at cleaning out time ;D

Yeah I've even noticed I get narked when my hubby wants to feed the piggy! :tickedoff: I should encourage him really cos he's not over keen on the piggy (well he wasn't to start off with but this weekend he even bought a cuddly toy for the piggy! ;D)

;D

I guess I get a little bit like that with my boyfriend and our pets.

He'll go to make a fuss of one of the rats or my cat, and at first I'll encourage him, but then I automatically assume that he'll do something wrong and start going, "Okay, okay, let me hold them now, that's enough."

I am happy that the rest of the family show an interest in the piggies....It just means more cuddles for all of them :smitten: :smitten:

The piggies are MINE but my little girl tells everyone she is a piggy mummy :smitten: she often goes to the shed to have a chat with them and I went to her parents evening and in her book it said I am very excited about our 3 new piggies :smitten: :smitten: I think she will grow up being just as addicted to them as me :D

i dont have kids, but i like it when other people want to hold my piggies.. having said that i only like my family to hold them if we have people coming over if I'm away for the weekend or whatever i always put the boys downstairs so my mum can feed them and they aint on their own all day, and i'll say if anyone comes they do not get my piggies out! lol i dont mind my mum and boyfriend getting them out for cuddles as my piggies know them and are quite content in being sat with them (they love my mum as she always brings them dandelions! lol) but I'm scared of other people dropping them if they are not used to guinea pigs.

it used to nark me that my sawdust was put down wrong, if i was ill my family would help clean them out and id go in a nd be like noooo you have done my sawdust wrong! and the food bowl goes here, and i do my hay like this..lol i must have been a pain in the a** !

My piggies love cuddles by children(over3 years) :D but under close supervision O0. Younger children stroke while i get to hole them. :smitten:

oops spelling mistake, I said hole I meant hold. :-X

I'm the same as you.I hate it:

We were looking for someone to change our whole boiling sytem so we got this guy round to price it up and he brought this.Quite frankly a little brat with him.She Looked about 7.And she legged it down to the bottom of my garden and asked my mum if we had a dog ¬_¬.Then she wanted to see my "guinea rabbits"? So i got one out cuddling it tightly and standing up so she couldnt stroke it and she went nuts. She kept open and shutting the door and she was starting to reall annoy me.So i put crispy away.I go upstaris and look out my brothers window and shes got my mum to get toffe out gawd sakes ¬_¬.So i go down and put her away.Lucky it was home time for her but she went into the living room and started banging on my hamsters house :tickedoff: . And then she didnt want to go home and she kep saying " But i wonna see guinea rabbits".

I know that might sound so rude and unkind on my half but seriously. She was so annoying.

I dont like it when lil ones hold my piggys as something horrible happened which i didnt see when taking a picture of them holding the piggys until i looked at them after and i wa ssoo shocked :o

children are ok with piggies but i like to stay around whilst there holding them but its just about educated children as the kids who holded my lil boar didnt have a clue that they were being mean to it :-\ none of youd like to see the piccie as he was holding my lil one by his skin - although he was fine O0

I dont like it when my piggies snuggle on my boyfriends lap! I'm just jealous tho, lol.

I don't have kidiwinkles but I don't really like other people holding my pets. I'll give a hammy to my brother to hold then 20 seconds later I'm taking him back off him cos I'm worried he'll do something wrong ;D

I used to hate when my cousins daughter came round as she'd want to cuddle all my 'babies' :tickedoff:, she wasn't very good with the pigs and almost droped one, I felt like telling her off but she is only young, so really my fault for not watching better :(

Uggh I know how you feel. My cousins are always the problem. When they first saw them they would ask and I'd get one out but now they just get them out by themself and one was even mocking them with food when I told her o just put it in :tickedoff: I'm dreading Christmas when both sets of my cousins will be here, two is hard enough to deal with but four? I'll have to get padlocks on the piggies cages ::)

I was taking photos of some lil ones holding my guineas at one of our parties we accassionally have and i let them hold the piggys as i watch them, BUT as i was taking this picture i didnt actually see what happened as i was too busy concentrating - well this is the piccie - sorry for crashing your thread but i thought id post here as it mentions about kids - I'm just saying be extra careful as i was watching them every second but obviously not too good :( all piggys are fine

party1.jpg

All piggys were fine and they are now all big boys now :smitten: except the ginger american crested who got put to sleep due to an infection :-\

They are not related to me they are my aunties friends 2 lads but the girl whose gobsmacked and told me is my cousin and shes used to them by now and shes 6 years old the others are about 4 but the girls are about 6 as there my cousins friends :)

My sisters daughter comes to stay every other weekend and she loves the animals,She is 11 now and will spend the whole weekend helping to feed and clean out.
sadly she cant have any animals at home as her dad has a serious alergy to Animals

Awww bless :)

I'm really cautious about who touches my piggies. When my fiancees friend comes over with her kid I only get Moet out who is the tamest of the bunch. I will sit her on my lap and let the kid stroke her.

The only people ALLOWED to pick up my pigs is the missus, my dad and I. My dad had lots of pigs as a kids so he is well versed. In fact when he rings up its normally:

"hi dan, how are you?"

"I'm fine dad"

"good good, hows the pigs.... oh and alison (the woman I'm marrying next april!)"
