Is It Ok To Pair Two Male Piggies With Two Female Piggies ? If I Neuter The Males

If I put two male neutured piggies with two female piggies wil they fight ?

I have gothink two piggies but they seem a little lonely and get sick of each other’s company I think, it’s been 3 weeks and they are now 11 weeks old but they don’t seem to find who the alpha is or maybe me being a newbie I just can’t tell


But they chase each other round mounting each other and they will both kick out and nock the other one off and they will chase each other and bite each other’s bums then jump in the air but it’s fifferent to popcorning , but there’s not one male that does it more they both do it to each other so I don’t know if they are struggling to find an alpha but in my eyes there’s a definite braver and more aggressive one .


I have two piggies ones ginger one is black and the black one is a little smaller but he is allways the first one out to get food, the one that isn’t scared to walk around the cage and the first one to bit my finger a few times when he’s had enough of being handled , where as the other one is more scared to come out his cage hit as much and isn’t so aggressive I wasn’t wondering would pairing females with them calm them down or just make them worse

Hi! Sorry, merging two boars and two sows won't work; it is a sure-fire recipe for bloody fights when the girls come into season. You can pair up one neutered boar with one sow each, but they won't work as a single group.

Once you have more than one boar and different genders, having one larger group is not going work in a normal sized cage set-up; you'd need a lot more space like a full or half a large room to give them a chance to have their own space away from each other. Otherwise the boars will inevitable clash when sows come into season.
Any exceptions I know of with more than one neuered boar living with sows only work because of them having a massive space at their disposal - and you can't count of your hormonal teenage boys getting along even then!

Once you have more than one boar and different genders, having one larger group is not going work in a normal sized cage set-up; you'd need a lot more space like a full or half a large room to give them a chance to have their own space away from each other. Otherwise the boars will inevitable clash when sows come into season.

it sounds like they are pretty evenly matched, but in the mild range of behaviours. They do not bite the bums, it is either nudging or nipping, a very carefully judged pain-free gesture of power. Mounting can be practised by both dominant and underboars; some boar pairs do it all the time as a 'hey, mate, I'm here' thing while others hardly mount.

Two males and females will not go together, even with neutered males. It doesn't change their normal behaviors and the males will compete for the females.

I think it's likely they know who the alpha pig is, even if you don't. Some pairs are feistier together than others, adolescent boys are likely to be pretty feisty! As long as there is no flat-out fighting with real biting and injury, I would keep on watchfully waiting for them to sort it out.
