Hi again everyone!
We built our pig family up to 4. Four boars.
We had successfully introduced the third piggie to the other two with very little to no complications.
Here's where I made my mistake. I got a young skinny pig and brought him home and piggy number 1 was not happy with him. He immediately attacked him and left scratches that were bleeding on his body. I separated them immediately and then put a divider in my 15 square foot cage. I put the original 2 on one side and put the skinny in with the little 3rd piggy.
It' been well over a month since this has all happened. They sniff eachother through the divider and separately do very well in their pairs.
But I think my 3rd piggy and my 2nd pig are very sad they can't be together. They spend a lot of the day rubbing their noses through the bars together and both of them have successully made attempts to climb over the 15inch tall divider to be with eachother! Luckily pig 1 is great to pig 3 and pig 4 loves pig 2 so that isn't an issue. But I feel so bad having them separate because although they are doing good in their own pairs I feel like they'd rather be with eachother hahah it's like a romantic drama movie.
What should I do?
Also, I noticed the 2 smaller pigs (3 & 4) are doing what I think is playing, running around chasing eachother and then touching noses and running away. Is this something that should be concerning?
