I dont measure how much hay i feed my pigs. i just fill their hay rack when it looks low or its been in there for a few days and they could use some fresh hay. i give them Oxbow western timothy and orchard grass mix. (the brand mixes it not me) my guinea pigs have an age difference so i mix Oxbow young guinea pig pellets with Oxbow adult guinea pig pellets. one pig is a year old and the other is only two months old. i would say its a 50/50 mix. i have a large gravity bin feeder for the pellets. they also receive Oxbow vitamin C supplements one daily. they have one large ceramic water bowl. they also get Oxbow peppermint baked treats one or twice a day. its crossed my mind a couple of times to give them Oxbow skin and coat supplements since i have a two month peruvian and maybe that will help his coat grow in nice and healthy. if anyone is from the US, they know Oxbow is a very trustworthy and quality brand. It is very pricey however. they also get a variety of greens and veggies daily. Does my diet sound healthy? i am a very open person to new ideas and welcome them!

80% hay: 10% pellets: 10% veggies is the ratio we aim for.
Your diet sounds fine as long as the piggies have constant access to fresh hay. Here is the link to the diet guides with the recommended diet, details of recommended veggies Diet Guides
If they are getting vit c in their veggies they shouldn’t really need a vit c supplement in addition, but some do enjoy it although the Oxbow vit c cakes are pricey.
