Is romaine lettuce safe to feed in the Uk

Just checking that this was only dangerous to feed in the US and Canada as hubby brought a pack of romaine home for the piggies last night as a treat and I’m scared to feed it them

Someone in another thread said food security and processing is much more strict in the UK and therefore there is next to no risk. I would check where the lettuce has come from, but I was feeding one from spain and the pigs have been fine, if you are still concerned then don't feed it however I don't think there is any risk in the uk x
