Hi

I am planning on a bigger home for Stripe & Choccy, thing is I would need to move one of my 3 cockatiels to make room!

Now I can put the bird on a shelf above the piggies home (in which case there new home would be a lovely size) but my question is, when the bird decides to chuck bits of seed out of its cage, if it landed in the piggies home, would it be harmful if they ate it?

I could make a cover to go on part of it if so

Thanks in advance

I would recommend to put a cover on. Seed can be contaminated.

It also is not ideal as it can get stuck between teeth (especially the small exotic bird seeds) and is one of the few foods that are actually fattening.

the guinea pigs ideally shouldnt be housed near birds at all, there are the risk of diseases being spread to the pigs, and also when the birds flap there wings or make noise it would scare the pigs xx
