Jesus, I would only put a stuffed teddy in that.

I was just about to say HM that I would only put Eccles in it. Eccles is my tri-coloured stuffed guinea pig!

Terrible size, would it have killed them to make it 3x2?

it wouldnt be able to move by the time you get a food sih in there.. no room for toys, or excercise etc..and true i think our hamsters cage is probably twice the size!
 
blimey!! thats awful! and it says this : This auction is for the perfect little guinea pig htch ideal for male guinea pigs as they should not be kept in pair because they will fight with each other so for one guinea pig this cage is ideal and if like other people you dont like cleaning them out in the cold wet winter months then this is great for indoor as its a good size for the house and the kids dont have to forget about there pet at the bottom of the garden when its dark and cold they can watch tele with them in the warm

arghh A some boars can live together, B it's not even big enough for 1, C if you don't like cleaning them out you shouldn't have them, and D if the children aren't interested, they shouldn't have them! :tickedoff:

I've emailed them its terrible as someone said before my hamster cage is bigger than that
 
Disgusting. Emailed them though a fat lot of good that will do, mind you if we fill up his/her inbox with complaints? ::)
 
My robo hamsters cage isn't much smaller than that it would be awful for a poor piggie :'(

Hi thanks for your concern on this matter i have kept guinea pigs for 10 years myself and my boys lived happy in these hutches they had a run they went in in the day and the hutches were for bedtime we do a wide range of hutches we do the same size as pet shops and much bigger we can't tell our customers which hutch to buy we just offer a good selection thanks for your email kind regards Tara.

i think she puts convience for herself and money before her/other piggies happiness, not even going to email her back I'm rather gobsmacked >:(
 
Are you sure thats not a storage cupboard?

You could use it for their food!

What sort of Numbnuts would buy something like that anyway!

I'm gonna check her feedback & see how many she has sold.
 
Looked at the 1st page & couldnt find one but the "plum" is selling runs with no built in cover from the sun/rain:tickedoff: 98)

At least you got a reply I've had nothing back yet


However I dont think i've seen a hutch that small in pet shops I just feel so sorry for the piggies shes kept in them :'( I dont think having time out in the run makes up for having a no room to move :'( :'(
 
yea i said that when i emailed back and i gave her requirement space for piggies but she hasnt replied to my second email.
 
Just checked her feed back shes sold a few :( I dont think much of the fold up runs either theyre 3 foot dont look very strong but there is no shelter they are completley open to the elements

I'm on your side, guinea pigs are very social animals and need a friend their own size to snuggle up to. Also they shouldn't try and make someone buy it because they make it sound easy. You get a Guinea pig because you can handle responsibility not so you can get the best deal and you dint have to look after it.
This person does not seem to like or understand guinea pigs very much. Thumbs down to them! :tickedoff: :tickedoff: :tickedoff:

I've emailed them too as they're saying in their ad that 2 boys cannot live together as they fight.  :tickedoff: :tickedoff:
I have said how boys do live together (i have a pair myself), that all my 5 boys graze happily together in their run & some people do have groups of 3+ living happily. 
I've also said it doesn't meet the minimum requirements brought out in the Animal Welfare act. I said 3ft x 2ft for a single piggy (thinking 4ft x 2ft minimum for a pair)
 
when i told her its possible boars can live together as they are social animals etc she just said shes had guinea pigs for 10yrs, in the second email i told her the minimum requirements like you did but she didnt reply to that email >:(
 
10 years and she knows NOTHING about cage sizes but i guess there breeding ones but people dont realise i have seen much smaller than that :)
She says they have been very popular so is gonna sell more, people just think there getting a bargain with the price :-\
 
I got the same message, how she's had piggies for 10 years & how rescues have bought these hutches in bulk for their single boys.

She did say however she would re-word her ad, to what i have no idea ::)
