I have just been sat watching the telly and this idea sprung into my head! I may have gone completely nuts so need help to see if I have!

As most people may know we have just got a new shed and also are jst building hutches etc for it. This has cost us just over £900 and we have had to borrow this money.

The idea i have just had is to create a page on facebook and our wensite to sponsor the shed! Everyone who sponsors the shed gets a certificate (:(|)) and also we will create a 'montage' on the wall of peoples names/photos where we will display who helped sponsor the shed. We would also use piggie pictures etc if people prefered. We would also display peoples names/photos on our website and facebook. We would then keep this updated with the progress of the shed and also the rescue progress as we develop.

I am going to combine this page on facebook (if I havent gone crackers) with sponsorship of our resident and poorly piggies.

What do you think. Please be 110% honest with me. My husband looked at me like I had just turned purple with green spots, so need other opinions please :) Thank you x

I don't think it's a crackers idea :)
A few years ago my local hospital did a sponsored brick to help build 'the den' a specialist department for children.
The public could pay a minimum £5 for a brick and a business could pay a minimum £20 per brick, it was a lovely thought xx

All the best ideas come out of the blue!:))

Anything that helps raise money for payment towards the shed is a good idea:))

I think its a good idea and for those who want to pay a bit extra maybe they could sponsor a hutch and name it then you could have a sign on each hutch with the name

you could probably try and push the hutches on businesses so they get their name on them, doubt pets at home would be so keen to help though :))

wow thats a fab idea. All my best ideas hubby looks at me like i am barking lol.

its a great idea. One of the open farms I worked on had pigstyes sponsored by local businesses, for the year they had a plaque above the door with their business name and address.

Have you worked out how much you are asking for each sponsorship - maybe you can have a few sponsorship levels (small for a plank of wood on the shed for £5, medium £10 for the lighting/heating and large £15 for the hutch per year) if you get enough people even at small levels it can all mount up to a nice amount.

You could give the sponsors a quartely update on how homings have been going, what residents are in at the moment and any latest news that is interesting and informative. All on an email newsletter or blog page perhaps.
