The idea is to give them enough vitamins - C in particular. You can safely feed your 2 piggies 1 tomato a day (I take out the seeds as they smear them all over the fleece) and some bell sweet pepper slices (not hot peppers). Many piggies don’t like peppers at first, so try the shape you cut them in and the different colours. Mine like yellow best.
They can have many things but most things in moderation. Greens are very good - like kale, spinach, sprouts, green beans etc but for each of these use them sparingly. Spinach is high in calcium and most cabbage type veg are gassy and can cause issues. For example only two green beans or sprouts per pig. Parsley is a favourite but again high in calcium and high calcium can cause stones. So everything sparingly. One way to do it is to give them a little of whatever you’re eating (uncooked of course) like when I have broccoli for dinner I give them a floret each.
Most importantly is to check the guides for what they cannot eat: things like onions, mushrooms, potatoes, tomato stalks etc. But you can be creative with other things.
Fruit should only be given rarely, perhaps as a little treat at lap time or for praising them for something they’ve done well. Mine like apple but don’t get it more than once or twice a month probably. Or a grape (cut in half with seeds taken out, of any present).
Carrots shouldn’t be given daily as it’s kind of like a junk food - high sugar content and high vit A content but a few times a week is ok - in small portions.
Remember 80% of their diet should be hay, and it’s hard to see how much of it they eat so it’s hard to judge. A tablespoon of pellets (some good guides on the forum about which pellets) and then the veg.
Please don’t give them iceberg lettuce as it can cause gut issues. Go for the darker colour variety of lettuce - I use red gem lettuce myself or romaine.
I hope this is helpful.
