Is This Hay Lice? Pics

Ever since I got my piggies I've noticed specs on their hair. Ive washed them 3 consecutive weeks with lice & easy. Disinfected their cage, washed fleeces at 60c every time. Also used xeno. On another week but the specks are still there! The itching seems to have stopped but I can't understand why they still haven't gone.
I think I can see the specs move but I could be imagining that. ..
I called the vet but they just said they'd use xeno so really don't know what to do. .
Help.

I can't actually see anything in the photos. But hay mites (or Static lice) are nothing to worry about. They attach to the hair shaft and feed off skin debris. They are not blood suckers. They should not be causing your guinea pigs to scratch. Please be aware that bathing your guinea pigs too often can do more harm than good, as it will dry the skin too much. The specks that you may be able to see could be the eggs of the mites.

It is either dirt or skin debris or hay mite egg cases, but it is a bit difficult to tell from your pictures. If in doubt, please see a vet. Hay mites (chirodiscoides) are the least harmful of the skin parasites that guinea pigs can have as they generally only cause mild itchiness. They still need treatment, but please not on spec.
