so this last night I filled my ginueapigs water bottle all the way up and today I woke up and realized that nearly the entire water bottle was empty and there was this weird green stuff below the bottle. Just wondering if that happens sometimes and it's fine or is something wrong? And should I take her to the vet just to be safe?

Is it hay or poo that soaked the water up? Or something else?

Not entirely sure what your asking, if your talking about what the green stuff is then I'm not sure, don't think it's poop tho because it doesn't smell like anything. If your asking what soaked the water up it's the towel that I keep them on

Sorry, I meant the green stuff underneath. If you’re worried there’s no harm in getting the piggies checked out by the vet. It looks like there was something there that soaked up some water and became mushy. But I can’t say what.

We had a guinea pig (Oreo) whose sole aim in this life was to drain the water bottle.
She could do it in minutes, and flood the fleece underneath.
So I got a bowl to put under the water bottle to catch the water, and she would drop pellets in the bowl and flood them with water and still make a right old mess.
