Is this okay for hay storage?

I currently use these to store my hay in, are these suitable to store hay in?

My concern is mice as we have quite a few around and dont want them getting into the hay.

Are you storing the hay inside or outside? They will be fine for indoors.
id be concerned the hay would sweat in them if they were outside.

I was lucky that hubby used his DIY skills to make use if some toy boxes we stopped using .

We got ours from IKEA but I've seen similar on Ebay

Hubby put some air holes in mine ....but the holes aren't essential

I use a garden storage box similar to this. I place a couple of bricks on the top to keep the lid secure from winds, It’s a prefect size for a bale of hay

In order that hay didn`t start to rot, and it wasn`t afraid of frost, it`s correct to use a variety of protective structures. Also, if you use a small amount of hay, you can just store it in boxes.
