Is this long grass weed safe for guinea pigs to eat? I don't know what it is called. I am based in Queensland Australia.

That should be fine. Just make sure it’s not been peed on by dogs or foxes.

I'm terrible with plant identification, but you could try using Google lens or Picture This to identify what kind of grass it is. I've heard a lot of gardening groups use these apps.
