So my three girls had their date with Isaac from RSPCA Walsall today. Initial intros went okay, Fern did tell him to back off a bit a couple of times, but no real aggression.

When we got home, there was a falling out as I had forgotten to take the pigloos out, and Fern considers all hidey holes to be hers. So I took everything out except food & hay, and it all settled down very quickly, in fact they soon settled down for a nap together! Fingers crossed, I think they've accepted him, although he is beginning to get a bit frustrated now, as they still won't let him get as close as he would like, but he's being quite gentlemanly about it. Still early days, but hopefully Isaac is here to stay! :(|)

(Isaac is the one with white in his coat, Milly with black, Fern is the ginger one on the left, and Pip the ginger one on the right)

Awwh how cute! Poor boy must have thought all his dreams had come true having three gorgeous ladies all to himself. My three girls and I are keeping our fingers and paws crossed it all works out!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh beautiful, fingers crossed that it all works out :) x

Awww, I'm so pleased that Issac has found a new home - he was on the website when I got my Oscar from Walsall, so they're kind of rescue buddies. :) I really hope that he continues to settle in with the girls - Oscar has got his little paws crossed for him. x>>

They make a gorgeous quartet!

I hope that he will survive the re-introduction of the pigloos! Generally, I find that once a boar is accepted by the top sow, then he is in. The first few seasons will be wilder than usual, but helps to bond them.

He's been doing a lot of popcorning together with the girls, so I think he's very happy! He is a lovely boy, and happy to be stroked. He had a miserable start - he was left behind, along with a dog when his original owners moved house, I don't understand how people can do that! He was lucky enough to end up at RSPCA Walsall. He's settled in very well, and certainly has a healthy appetite.

I've put their tunnels back in the cage, and there's been no problem at all, and the girls now run to his side when they're startled. I'll give it another 24hrs before I put the pigloos & cosies back in. Fern has been cuddling up to him, and letting him eat from the food bowl with her, so I think she has fallen for him. He's not pushing his luck though!
