Hi everyone,

I mentioned in a post today that my boys have officially entered their teenage months and things got very exciting this afternoon. Nothing serious just a bit of rumble strutting, chasing, popcorning and resting lol. However, Bert has developed this habit where he likes to spray Ernie with wee in the face lol. It was weird but funny to watch, but I think it sort of brought Ernie down off his high horse. I don't know if it is this, but the house smells of their wee lol. Maybe because they keep doing it in their cage, but all of their hideys for their play pen are covered and will need to clean it at some point

Boys will be boys! They are busy scent marking everything by the sound of it. When you clean them out leave some stuff in the cage/run so they don't feel they have to start again.

They are! I have one that squirts wee and the other wiping his bum all over the place😂 when I clean their cage out I don’t normally clean their hideys just shake them off. The only thing I tend to clean in their play pen are the towels I lay down as they start to smell quicklu

My mother in law was like it stinks in here!😂 I was like I know lol

I have to clean the wall behind our cage, Dot sometimes misses Bernie with the pee spray. Or he sjust got really good at dodging it 😅

Use a big fleece instead and double it over , it doesn't smell half as fast as towel, and much cheaper to buy
 
My guinea pigs melt their cardboard houses with peepee lol it does smell alot
