Well the bond has started with Zac and Harvey. All is going very well I started the bond outside in the garden as it's a sunny day. There's been no fighting no rattling noises Zac has gone to mount Harvey and Harvey has been sniffing Zac's bum is this normal ? They are inside now snuggled up together in a box of hay..
They are making some rumbling noises now they are inside :-\ they have both eaten some greens and seems quite excited by their new pigloos.
I hope they are going to be okay..
I did hear Zac teeth chattering earlier on but I think maybe that was at me :o I took his baby out( his cuddly bun)
They are both snuggled together in the little pigloo, quite shocked they have both fitted into it as Zac's a big lad.
It does sound as though they are becoming good mates. I have to say I've found bonding males far easier than females - I know its usually the other way around - my girls are all such strong willed little characters. I get teeth chattering from time to time from the boys but its usually over in a few seconds. In fact just had a bit of it now. Patch is strutting around wiggling his bum from side to side and trying to mount Ben. Ben made it quite clear his advances weren't appreciated so Patch has wandered down the other end of the cage! ;D
Aww thats great. teeth chattering is just a sign that they aren't happy with something. I get it all the time from Sunshine, he wants my attention I can't talk to Twinkle!
Sounds like they are really liking one another if they are in the same igloo. Bless them! Can't wait for pics when you have time. :smitten:
They still seem okay today Harvey(new piggie) seems to have settled really well, he's enjoying exploring his new home I've even seen him to a mini popcorn :smitten:
My daughter came down first this morning and ran into my bedroom and said Harvey has a tiny bit of blood on him :o I ran downstairs but I couldn't see no signs of a fight at all ? I've checked them over and everything seems fine.
Thanks Karen, Eastham is halfway but I don't mind coming to you, can you do me a favour and measure the height and depth as I'm thinking if I can get it in the back without lowering the seats I'll be able to bring the family and can call on my great Aunt in Ruthin.
