Ivermectin, is it edible?!

Ours have been itchy, so we treated them with Ivermectin last night. Before I tucked them up for bed, they were eating the gloop of each other's backs! Daisy was licking Amber, and Pixie was there on Daisy's back at the same time! Slight EWE!:)>>>
They are all bright and perky, as ever, this morning :), but I just wondered if ingesting it was a bad idea? I guess they wouldn't sell it if it was dodgy, but it there any way round this? Are injections the only alternative?

Ivermectin is safe given orally but I'm not keen on the idea of them licking the topical ivermectin off, unsure of the other ingredients (if any). Did you rub it in to the skin so it absorbed quickly?

I must admit I do find it a lot easier to give Ivermectin by mouth, but I know this is a trickier option for those with fewer piggies.
 
The instructions state "apply the entire contents of the pipette to the back of the neck. While squeezing out the contents spread the solution over as great a surface of the skin as possible." Which we did, but it does not ask you to rub it in. It's quite tricky with the Aby's! Where can you get oral Ivermectin? We've had to give ours Baytril in the past so have experience of syringe feeding! Can't see any other active ingredient. Made by beaphar.

I have got my oral ivermectin from the vets; they have dispensed some into a small bottle for me.
