Good luck Jack. Fingers firmly crossed for him, hope they can sort it out. Will be thinking of you both.

All the best!

Please use these tricks here and syringe feed if he is not eating well on his own:

Complete Syringe Feeding Guide

Keep the area he is sitting in changed twice daily.

He's back home now , he's on more metacam and currently vibrating in my arms (what does it mean when a guinea pig vibrates in your arms) and doing good

He will be a lot better now, can't believe they never gave him any.
Pass I can't remember, be interesting to see if the biting stops. Let us know.

I'm glad he's on Metacam . Sometimes Guinea Pigs vibrate when they are happy ( purring ) and sometimes thye bite to say they are not happy . It's difficult to tell - but, don't worry, it's better than him biting you .

Well done, I'm sure you'll both feel loads better now and he can look forward to meeting his ladies later on!

Meeting the ladies is fun, we are now on day 3, poor Gizmo & things are calming down, it's not him, I just think the ladies are not impressed. We've had the chining & chasing & your not eating my food. It's so funny I reckon another 2 or 3 days & we will have cracked it. Well Gizmo will have. Lol

Poor little Jack. Hope he recovers soon, its unfortunate that he had to use his teeth to communicate (!) that he wasn't well but at least you listened and did the right thing by him. It must be so tough when you cannot communicate, very frustrating for everyone.

I had one that literally growled at the vet once when they were removing her stitches, that was quite something to watch..believe me I did not put my fingers anywhere near her mouth on that occasion! she was most annoyed about the whole thing.:yikes:

Healing vibes being sent to you both!

Aww poor little guy - sounds like he's much happier now if he's fallen asleep on you!

If he smells like wee make sure to clean out his cage daily, if not twice daily so he doesn't get an infection in his wound.

awww glad he has some pain relief.... very cute him falling asleep on you x

Ah that's a good sign, he must be so relieved to have his pain eased, and I hope all turns out well xx

I'm so glad to hear you took Jack to the vets (who btw is a rather handsome piggy if I do say). Hopefully the biting will stop now his mummy has helped him feel better and I'm glad you didn't just give up. :) hope it remains to improve.
