Jazz music calms brawling boars?!

The leadership contest in our house is getting very noisy these days. At one point my husband put on some jazz music during a particularly intense bout (coincidental, he just fancied some jazz) and the pigs immediately left off their dispute and went to sleep.

Tonight, they were stressing me out with how rowdy they were being, so I put on some jazz to drown out the noise. Again, immediate cessation of hostilities, one went to sleep, the other started quietly grazing.

Has anyone else noticed music having an effect on rowdy pigs? Specifically, jazz?!?

I haven't tried jazz for our piggies yet. I've been playing Christmas music off the radio and they seem to enjoy that. Talk radio not so much.

@Lorcan maybe you should try some jazz for your boys?
