He stoped eating on saturday the 14th January,
So on Wednesday the was booked in to get dental done as his teeth were over grown
On thuresday - he had metacam and gut stymulant still no eating
Friday - metacam and gut stymulant still no eating. (syringe feeding him with critial care )
Friday evening - went back to the vet.... He had infection in mouth blisters...
So vet treated him with - metacam
- baytril antibiotic
- fluids

saturday - still no eating and losing weight, reapeatof all meds
Sunday - all infection gone, but not happy that he is not eating beccause infection is gone? She repeated all meds again.....
On monday (tomoro) she wants to give him GA to do more x rays on roots of teeth to see is they are growing into eye socket.......?
I dont think he is strong enough for GA.
Hes .77kg now?
Any ideas?

Are you hand feeding him? Guinea pigs are notorious for not eating after dental and mouth problems. Please continue with the metacam.

Here are some good tips on how to go about it. To keep the weight, a piggy needs to eat 120ml of either mushed pellets or Critical Care (an instant mix available from your vets), usually best in as many small feeds as you can and in critical cases around the clock. Your boy sounds dangerously low in weight! It is very much down to your good care if you can pull him through, so please persevere even though a lot of the stuff will end up on you and not in the piggy!

Don't forget to also give water to avoid dehydration. Also give some vitamin C (1/4 tablet, dissolved in a little bit of water and syringed).

Would the metacam be upsetting his tummy? Or meybe the antibiotic?
Hes on six mls of fibroflex a day and vit c sup in water........

Baytril is harsh on their little tummies hence the Fibreplex probiotic.
I hope Jimmy will pull through this, as Wiebke says, he is not a great weight so you need to syringe feed to maintain.

He eat some cumcumber, but not much........
Still no drinking but he made a wee. ?...

He's getting some fluids from the cucumber, but what he is eating is probably nowhere enough if he is still losing weight!

Mush up some pellets and try to additionally feed him that. If necessary, cut off the tip of a syringe or try a spoon; the same goes for pureed veg. Try putting finely cut hay in his mouth and see whether he is eating.

However, the longer you dither the smaller his chances to recover; a lot of time has already been lost! He needs your help NOW!
