Ive just realised that not all piggies are jumpers.
My Billie used to launch himself off anything. He loved to jump. As a baby he used to jump off my bed onto the floor.
He once jumped off the patio table when my back was turned and frequently jumped off the back step onto the balcony.
Merlin, however, sat on the same back step, and after watching him for a minute, (expecting him to jump off), saw him gingerly extend a foot and pull it back in. The he put both feet forwards and tried to slide down the step and it was at this point that it dawned on me that he couldnt jump down.
Bless him
So I gave him a helping hand.
I guess that pigs are like people. Merlin is a nervous couch potato type piggy... whereas Billie was an adrenalin junkie, extreme sports, bad boy piggy

one day he jumped off my bed when he was a tiny baby... long way to fall but lucky he fell into my slipper ;D
