Just an idea I had...
I know most of us are able to carry on communicating with family and friends through this lockdown by using social media, video calling, messaging apps, but I have elderly parents who aren't technologically minded and even normal phone calls can be difficult. So...
I have bought a pack of cute postcards off ebay and a book of stamps from Tesco and I will be sending little messages to them by post. Just showing I'm thinking of them and hopefully making them smile a little when the postman delivers their mail. Phone calls come and are gone when you hang up, but a little postcard or two can stay sitting on the mantelpiece to remind them that they are loved. I will also be sending them to other family that are on my messaging apps, just to try and spread a little cheer in the world.
